What is NYSC Revalidation?
NYSC revalidation is an action undertaken by a prospective corps member (PCM) to renew his or her already registered details on the NYSC portal. This process makes it look like a PCM is just freshly registering online for service whereas he or she already registered before.
You are expected to do NYSC revalidation only if you were deployed by NYSC to a state, but because of one reason or the other, you couldn’t make it to the NYSC orientation camp. For example, you have been deployed in a previous NYSC batch but did not show up in camp. Or you have completed your registration or not, either you have printed your call-up letter or not, as long as you did not go to camp, you will re-validate.
The purpose of NYSC revalidation is to enable you to join the next batch or stream of corps members without having to register again. It also allows you to change your state of deployment if you wish to.
What is NYSC Remobilization?
NYSC remobilization is a process a serving corps member undergoes to renew his or her National Youth Service Corps programme and carry on from where they stopped. It is for those who attended the orientation camp, did all the normal registration on camp, left camp and did not report to their Place of Primary Assignment (PPA) at all. Or those who absconded from service in camp or after camping.
The purpose of NYSC remobilization is to enable you to resume your service and complete it in another batch or stream. It also allows you to change your state of deployment if you wish to.
How to Apply for NYSC Revalidation and Remobilization?
The steps to apply for NYSC revalidation and remobilization are as follows:
- Visit the NYSC portal via https://portal.nysc.org.ng
- Click on the link for revalidation or remobilization, depending on your case.
- Fill in the required details and submit your application.
- Print out your new call-up letter and report to the orientation camp on the specified date.
Note that revalidation and remobilization are done only when NYSC opens portal for fresh registration. You can check the NYSC website or social media platforms for updates on when the portal will be opened.
