NDLEA Ranks for 2024

The NDLEA has a rank structure that is similar to other paramilitary agencies in Nigeria. The rank structure is based on the level of education and qualification that one enters with. The higher your qualification, the higher your rank.

The NDLEA ranks are divided into two categories: officer cadre and narcotic agent cadre. The officer cadre consists of graduates who join the agency with a B.Sc or HND degree. The narcotic agent cadre consists of non-graduates who join the agency with an SSCE or OND certificate.

The officer cadre has nine ranks, which are:

  • Assistant Superintendent of Narcotics II (ASN II)

The narcotic agent cadre has ten ranks, which are:

  • Chief Narcotic Agent (CNA)
