The screening consists of a computer-based test (CBT) that covers English Language, Mathematics, and General Knowledge. The duration of the test is 30 minutes and the maximum score is 100.

The screening also involves the verification of the candidates’ O’ Level and/or A’ Level results, as well as their personal and academic information on the JAMB CAPS portal.

Requirements for UNILORIN Post-UTME/Direct Entry Screening

To be eligible for the UNILORIN Post-UTME/Direct Entry screening, you must meet the following criteria:

  • You must have chosen UNILORIN as your first choice institution in the 2024/2025 UTME or Direct Entry application.
  • You must have scored 180 or above in the 2024/2025 UTME or have a minimum of lower credit in your ND/NCE or equivalent in your Direct Entry application.
  • You must have at least five (5) credit passes in your O’ Level results (SSCE, NECO, GCE, NABTEB) in not more than two sittings, including English Language and Mathematics. For some courses, you may need additional credit passes in relevant subjects.
  • You must have uploaded your O’ Level and/or A’ Level results on the JAMB CAPS portal. If you are awaiting results, you should indicate by writing ‘AR’.
  • You must have a valid and active email address and phone number that you can access during the registration and screening process.

How Much is UNILORIN Post-UTME/Direct Entry Screening Form

The cost of the UNILORIN Post-UTME/Direct Entry screening form is N2,000 only. This excludes bank charges and other fees that may apply.

How to Apply for UNILORIN Post-UTME/Direct Entry Screening Form

The application for the UNILORIN Post-UTME/Direct Entry screening form will commence on 7th November, 2024 and end on 14th December, 2024. To apply, follow these steps:

  1. Visit the UNILORIN Pre-Admission portal at https://uilugportal.unilorin.edu.ng/putme_registration.php
  2. Click on ‘Pre-Admission Screening Registration’
  3. Enter your JAMB Registration Number and Surname in the required fields and click on ‘Login’
  4. Fill in your bio-data and other relevant information as requested
  5. Upload a recent passport photograph of not more than 25KB in JPEG format
    Select your preferred course of study
  6. Make payment of N2,000 for the screening fee using any of the available options (ATM Card, Internet Banking, Mobile Wallet, Bank Branch)
  7. After payment, print out your payment receipt and registration slip
    Keep them safe as you will need them for the screening exercise

Deadline for UNILORIN Post-UTME/Direct Entry Screening Registration

The deadline for the registration of the UNILORIN Post-UTME/Direct Entry screening form is 14th December, 2024. No extension will be granted after this date. Therefore, you are advised to register as early as possible to avoid any inconvenience.

How to Check UNILORIN Post-UTME/Direct Entry Screening Result

The result of the UNILORIN Post-UTME/Direct Entry screening will be released online on the university’s website. To check your result, follow these steps:

  1. Visit the UNILORIN Pre-Admission portal at https://uilugportal.unilorin.edu.ng/putme_login.php
    Enter your JAMB Registration Number and Surname in the required fields and click on ‘Login’

How to Calculate UNILORIN Post-UTME/Direct Entry Screening Score

The UNILORIN Post-UTME/Direct Entry screening score is calculated based on an aggregate of three components:

UTME/DE score (50%)
Post-UTME screening score (30%)
Five (5) relevant O’ Level grades (20%)

For example, if you scored 250 in UTME, 80 in Post-UTME, and had A1, B2, B3, C4, and C5 in your O’ Level results, your aggregate score will be:

(250/400 x 50) + (80/100 x 30) + (24/30 x 20) = 62.5%

The higher your aggregate score, the higher your chances of gaining admission into the university.

What Next After UNILORIN Post-UTME/Direct Entry Screening

After the UNILORIN Post-UTME/Direct Entry screening, you should do the following:

  • Check your admission status on the JAMB CAPS portal and accept or reject your offer if you have been offered admission
  • Print out your JAMB admission letter and original result slip
  • Wait for the UNILORIN admission list to be released on the university’s website and confirm your name
  • Pay your acceptance fee and other charges as instructed by the university
  • Complete your online clearance and upload the required documents
