WAEC GCE Result Update 2023

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has announced that the results of the WASSCE for private candidates will be released 45 days after the last paper of the examination. This means that you can expect your result to be available online by the end of February or early March 2024.

The WAEC head of public affairs, Demianus Ojijeogu, also confirmed that the certificates will be ready 90 days after the release of the results. You will need to collect your certificate from the WAEC office in your state or region.

How to Check WAEC GCE Result 2023/2024

To check your WAEC GCE result online, you will need the following details:

• Your examination number: This is a 10-digit number that consists of your 7-digit center number and your 3-digit candidate number. For example, if your center number is 4123456 and your candidate number is 789, your examination number is 4123456789.
• Your serial number: This is a 12-digit number that is printed on the reverse side of your scratch card.
• Your PIN: This is a 10-digit number that is also printed on the reverse side of your scratch card.

Once you have these details, follow these steps to check your result:

1. Visit the WAEC result checker portal at https://www.waecdirect.org/
2. Enter your examination number in the first box.
3. Enter the 4 digits of your examination year in the second box. For example, if you took the exam in 2023, enter 2023.
4. Select the type of examination in the third box. Choose PRIVATE CANDIDATE RESULT.
5. Enter your card serial number in the fourth box.
6. Enter your PIN in the fifth box.
7. Click on SUBMIT and wait for your result to be displayed on the screen.

You can print out your result or save it as a PDF file for future reference.
