To check OOU admission status via the JAMB portal, candidates should adhere to the following guidelines listed below.

  • Visit JAMB Portal via https://portal.jamb.gov.ng/efacility/
  • Enter your Email address and password in the required field to login
  • Click on Check Admission Status
  • Click on Access my CAPS
  • Select your Exam year and enter your JAMB Registration Number

What to Do After Checking Your Admission Status

  • Accept or Reject the Admission Offer: You need to accept or reject the admission offer on the JAMB CAPS portal. To do this, log in to your JAMB profile and click on Admission Status. Then, click on Accept or Reject as appropriate. Note that if you do not accept the admission offer within a specified period, it may be withdrawn or given to another candidate.
  • Pay the Acceptance Fee: You need to pay the acceptance fee as directed by the school management. The acceptance fee is a non-refundable fee that confirms your acceptance of the admission offer. The amount and payment procedure will be communicated to you by the school authorities. You can pay online or at designated banks.
  • Register for Your Courses: You need to register for your courses online or at the school portal. You will need to provide your personal and academic details, upload your passport photograph and other documents, and select your courses for the semester. You will also need to print out your course registration form and other documents for verification.
  • Submit Your Registration Documents: You need to submit your registration documents to the relevant units of the school. You will need to submit two (2) copies of the application form, the acceptance fee receipt, the course registration form, the Tertiary Institution Social Health Insurance Program (TISHIP) form, the oath of good conduct form, and other documents as required by your department.
