The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has launched an online digitalization process portal for all serving police officers and civilian staff working under the NPF.

The portal is designed to capture and update the biometric and personal data of all personnel, as well as their academic and professional qualifications, promotion and transfer records, and course certificates.

The portal will also enable the NPF to conduct an automated physical authentication exercise for all personnel, using a customized device (FP07 Rugged Tablet).

The online digitalization process portal is part of the NPF’s efforts to improve its service delivery, accountability, and transparency, as well as to enhance its human resource management and welfare. What to Expect During the Physical Authentication Exercise

After closing of the portal, immediately an Ad-hoc screening Committee will be formed to screen all the documents submitted on the portal for authentication and biometric capturing using a customized device (FP07 Rugged Tablet) where FCT and Force Headquarters personnel will serve as pilot commands.

The physical authentication exercise is the second phase of the online digitalization process, which will take place at designated locations across the country. The exercise will involve the verification of the identity, credentials, and biometric data of all personnel, using the FP07 Rugged Tablet.

The FP07 Rugged Tablet is a device that can capture and store the fingerprint, iris, and facial features of a person, as well as scan and read the barcode of a document. The device can also connect to the internet and upload the data to a central database.

All police officers and civilian staff must open files which will contain all their credentials and other relevant forms right from the stage of physical authentication to the last stage of the exercise. The documents and the information contained therein shall be the same with the one submitted online.

The physical authentication exercise will take place from March 8, 2024, to March 22, 2024, starting from 0700hrs daily. The exercise will be conducted in batches according to the schedule on the confirmation slip. Personnel are advised to arrive at the venue on time and adhere to the COVID-19 safety protocols.
