Do you make the difference? Business Insider Netherlands is the leading business news site in the Netherlands with more than 2 million unique visitors per month. We are part of a global platform with local editions in 10 countries in Europe, Asia and the Americas.

We are looking for someone who can act as a pivot in the daily selection of the most important news and who thinks along about in-depth background stories. You coordinate the daily publication agenda, coordinate it with permanent editors and freelancers, and do part of the final editing. You come up with your own ideas for perspectives on the news and think along about applications to further improve the site. The position is in principle for 32 to 40 hours per week. If desired, options can also be explored for a combination with a (partial) function as an editor.

What should you be able to do?

  • You are very language sensitive and you can edit texts fluently
  • You have editorial experience and a keen sense for stories that touch readers
  • You can handle numbers smoothly
  • You are online skilled with images and infographics
